In the north western part of the city , EuroMilano has redeveloped an abandoned 450,000 smq area, once occupied by Fina refineries, into a new district – Milano Certosa - built according to the highest quality standards. Particular care has been devoted to public areas and facilities, as well as to housing excellence. The project is now close to completion and involves the redevelopment of the urban area between Palizzi, Eritrea, De Pisis and Chiasserini streets, where 16 buildings rise with 1,500 dwelling units of different kinds , overlooking the Franco Verga Park of 200,000 smq. The project also includes a superstore, a church, a police station, an infant school, two residences for students of the nearby “Politecnico di Milano” University. The park project has been carried out by the outstanding British firm Armstrong Bell Landscape and it is the result of architectural redevelopment of Borgo Porretta. The redevelopment plan entails nature trails, children playgrounds, sports and leisure facilities . The park will be embellished with fountains, canals and vegetable gardens. It will also operate as a greenway to the new Bovisa Politecnico site. PARCO CERTOSA: YOUR HOUSE IN THE PARK. IN MILAN
Parco Certosa: few and small new buildings, linked to each other by safe pedestrian paths, are harmoniously integrated in green spaces and overlook the park in the best way. The space partition guarantees, also thanks to technologic equipment, quietness and quality. “A” energy category buildings, where dwelling units are totally automatized, ensure a personalized and economic living management. There are many facilities within a walking or riding distance, thanks to bicycle and pedestrian tracks crossing the park: schools, swimming pool, infant school, stores, a new church, a new horseguards patrol station. Among the biggest parks in Milan, Franco Verga park comprises 200.000 sqm of open spaces planned by British Armstrong Bell Landscape firm. Parco Certosa is nestled in this park and has two direct accesses to its bicycle and pedestrian paths. Every house ins in the park, the park is its own garden.
