Project Description

From manufacturing industry to the new digital communication industry.

The EuroMilano project for the urban redevelopment of Bovisa - the historic ex- industrial district on the outskirts of Milan - also includes the construction of the new headquarters of Mediapason, the Group that includes Telelombardia, Antenna3 and Canale6, some of the most important regional television networks in Italy.

EuroMilano has built a new digital television centre on the former Tenax site, close to Bovisa Station. The proximity to the Station will facilitate the arrival of the many local and national guests, who take part in tv programmes every day. At the same time, the television centre will be seen by the millions of passengers who use the suburban railway lines each day.

Technology and tradition at the service of communication.

The project to redevelop  pre- existing buildings once used for manufacturing purposes. The available areas will be fully converted to meet the most advanced technological needs. A two- storey office building has been built while the  recording studios are located in the sheds: the largest one (800 sqm), two smaller ones of 450 sqm and 350 sqm, and other smaller studios.

Fifteen editing rooms, several dressing rooms, make-up rooms, elevators and equipment for complex set designs are also hosted in the sheds. A restaurant and coffee bar connects all the other buildings.

PROJECT

Construction of a new digital television centre, recording studios, editing rooms, areas for set design and production, restaurant and open-air coffee bar.

ROAD SYSTEMS

The site is located a few metres from Bovisa suburban railway stop , which is linked to Milan underground It is a few minutes' drive from Certosa motorway exit.

LOCATION

Via Colico 3, north west of Milan, very close to Bovisa suburban railway station and near to Bovisa new site of "Politecnico di Milano" university.
